DENGUE
Here is the document on treating Dengue for those that wish it.
Please note I strongly recommend you do your own research and consider the ramifications to the person offering advice - Doctors have their own incentives as do alternative practitioners, both make money from your illness.
I do not include research links - but you can find them on scholar.google and there are many showing the efficacy of papaya leaf.
This is my own protocol, others have similar. It is for my own use and that of my family. You are welcome to ignore or follow as you wish.
For those without Word, here is the information:
Immediate Steps to take on suspected Dengue.
If you live on Bali the chances are you will get Dengue. There are four strains of this mosquito born virus, after each one we believe you develop immunity to that strain. The evidence is not clear. However, there are signs there may be a fifth strain evolving and there is always chikungunya.
If you run a sudden fever, suspect Dengue. If the fever comes with headaches and aching joints, possibly skin rash and vomiting, it is for sure. Don’t bother with a doctor or hospital or a medical checkup – they can make a guess as to what you have from a controversial test and it really doesn’t matter. You are sick and speed is of the essence.
I should point out that standard medicine for some reason has no cure for Dengue, despite the effects of papaya leaf being well known to them, they haven’t applied it to Dengue. However, if the level of platelets (thrombocytes) drops very low, there is a real danger of shock requiring instant transfusions and treatment, so due to this risk doctors keep Dengue patients in hospital and observed for ten days, at a cost of up to $1000 per night… Of course if you take the papaya leaf this doesn’t happen…
When Dengue virus attacks you, the first thing it does is make your blood capillaries porous, in other words your blood leaks into your body where it isn’t supposed to be. This is what causes those aches and pains. Your body is so busy trying to seal all the holes and replace the missing cells, that it doesn’t have time to fight the Dengue which goes on its merry way having fun replicating in your body. Party time for Dengue virus…. Your body then runs out of platelets and white blood cells, not to mention red blood cells and plasma which is where real danger comes into play.
So the first thing we must do is seal your capillaries. Unfortunately, when the blood leaks into your brain, it makes you stupid… and you forget what to do. You need a friend who will make you drink/eat papaya leaf on time as it tastes horrible and you don’t want it…
Immediate action.
Go to a papaya tree – you should ask permission but won’t be a problem. Take ONE of the largest and oldest leaves near the bottom, choose a clean one. Do NOT take a young one from the top. These may have more juice, but are not so powerful and it is damaging to the tree. Take it home and wash the leaf thoroughly under the tap. Remove any discoloured parts. Remove the leaf stem – you can cut this into natural straws. Rinse the washed leaf in drinking water. Break it into smaller parts and place in the blender. And a small amount of drinking water, perhaps 100ml, and start the blender. You will probably have to help the leaves spin a bit, but only add more water if you have to. Less water makes it stronger. It takes just a few moments to get a pulp when the leaf has disappeared. One leaf makes 3-4 doses, perhaps more if especially large.
Eat a heaped table spoon of pulp – back of the throat, easier to swallow as the taste is vile. Pain relief is very fast. Every hour, eat another spoonful. Repeat six times, get another leaf if you need it.
The papaya works by fueling your platelet production, allowing your body to make enough platelets to seal the capillaries and stop the blood loss. Your body is then able to fight the dengue and put a stop to the party. It may have other properties, still under investigation. You may take other herbs to help your body, such as sambiloto, but once the capillaries are sealed by your platelets, the Dengue will be gone in at most two days.
However, we notice that for another week or so, exercise is really painful. We conject that this is because the capillaries are not fully repaired, and the exercise strains and bursts them again. We suggest you take care for another two weeks not to exercise stringently.
